Why is SONY'S DSC-G1 so expensive? IS it that GOOD?

IMO you should invest in an entry-level DSLR as offered by Canon, Pentax, Sigma, Nikon or Sony. You are close to their price with the price of the DSC G1 and you'll have a lot more camera.
