I am a dish network subscriber and Ijust moved to an apartment complex where they accept sattelite tv but you have to keep it in your balcony or inside of your apartment. I thought my apartment had a balcony, but when I moved in I realized that it doesn't. Can Dish Network install and antena in my living room? would it take a lot of space? Thanks for your answers!

I was reading about features of the ps3, and one feature that caught my eye was the ability to install a second OS. If I installed xubuntu on a PS3, would I be able to install things like beryl or compiz fusion? Also, if I used one of those PC emulators for linux (VMware I think) would I be able to run xp or some kind of windows OS?

i have a minolta x700, i took a photo class in high school which i don't remember too much of. can anyone, in a simple easy to understand way, explain to me about f-stops, aperture, and anything that will get me going. i know that there is some sort of chart and what not that goes along with f-stops and whatnot, can anyone just give me some easy answers as to how these things work? thanks.

I just got them, and I heard you need to put them all the way in the ear. When I put them into the ear canal, I can really hear/feel the bass, which is nice...and it sounds better.

HOWEVER, is there any chance that putting them too far in the ear canal will allow the canalphones (also called in-ear-headphones) to touch the ear drum and damage it?

I'm considering switching from Comcast to Direct TV. All I really want is something comparable to Comcast's regular programming such as all the main networks and things like the history channel, fox news, discovery, etc....Does Direct TV even offer these networks? Thanks.

I recently got a new laptop for school. I can't seem to find the installation CD that came with my Mp3 player when I purchased it. My new operating system is Vista, so I doubt I could use it again anyways. Does anyone know how I could get the media explorer software for Vista Home Basic? I checked Creative's website; I don't see anything about getting it.

Any help or suggestions would be great!
I feel like they have it on their site somewhere, I just can't find it to save my life.

hey guys!

I have a HD TV that is HD ready (has tuner) and I noticed I already get some network stations (cable TV) that are HD (new HD channels). But to get more HD channels of other stations I need to order them but I heard I get a different set-top box (an HD one) which will replace my current one. I have digital cable and what not. I just want to know why I need a special set-top box I already have the tuner built in? or don't i?

Thanks!

freecycle didn't work. :( I'd rather not have the city of Minneapolis haul it away, but maybe that's what I have to do.

Here's my freecycle posting with details.

Supre-macy 22SF 17" TV, manufactured 1983.

Perfect for the workout room or basement!

I measured diagonally, and had a little trouble. It might be 18" or 19".

We got someone else's 1994 TV that has newer connectors, so we don't
need this one anymore. Full disclosure: the picture is a little dark.

My dad said that you could hook up the hd cables to a regular tv and have a little better quality, is this true?

I'm interested in buying a lcd, but the cheapest one is like 200 bucks so I i'm just wondering if hd is even possible a little bit on a regular tv.

I would prefer an extremly inexpensive one, but anything will be appreciated. I would like it to be able to hook up to another Television screen also.

Thank you.

My family is searching for a cell phone company and a good plan for 5 phones. Heres how well be using them

Me - Text and Talk often more text than talk

Sister - Text and talk a lot

Other Sister - talk every once in a while not a huge texter

Mom - Talks for about 5 10 minutes twice a day not very much and no texting at all really

Dad - Only uses 1 for emergencies rarley every talks NO texting at all.

Ok my mom and sisters want Verizon because they like the chocolates. I want anything idc as long as they have good phones and not to expensive (Cingular would be my choice). My dad could care less.

We dont want to pay to much a month but be able to do all that stuff atleast.

What plan/phone company do you have and do you like it?

Thanks a lot to everyone!

I have an Aiwa record player that's about 7 years old. It's been taking up space on a shelf until recently when I decided to pull it back out. I've noticed the turntable wobbling a bit when I play records, not enough to affect the sound, but enough to cause concern. What causes this and is there any way to make it level again without sending it to a repair shop?

I am looking into purchasing a new HDTV soon, maybe something in the 42"-56" size. The problem is I have an entertainment center that is only about 10 years old and do not want to get rid of it. The biggest widescreen that it may hold is about a 38". Any suggestions on what to do, besides the obvious in buying an appropriate sized tv. What are most people in my predicament doing? Any help would be great, thanks!
