Actually you need to start the process by having your lawyer request the desired information through your Wireless Providers litigation department. I work for AT&T. Only a judge can subpoena the information. THAT is a fact.
That way Sprint, or whatever wireless company will stay neutral and cannot be sued. They cannot release confidential information with out a JUDGE ordering it.

You wouldn't need a court order to get the records from your OWN cell phone. In other words, if you are the signer on the contract and it is your number and your messages. However, if you are needing to get a transcript of past messages, I'm not sure they will be keeping that info or that it will be available to you. I would think that it would not. No more so than keeping recordings of every live cell phone conversation. They can give you times and numbers messages were sent to.

Unless your parents have a large amount of computer experience aka hackers then no your parents can't read texts. Your parents are your guardians and they pay for your phone so yes it is possible for them to get a transcript. That would be a hassle I don't think your parents would go thru however.

They should be able to give it to you.. It's your cell phone and you sent the messages I don't see why you would need a court order to do so.. I know y wireless plan is with Rogers and I can request detailed billing which states all the messages I sent at what time and to who...

If you own the account, and they keep records of the text messages, then you do not have to obtain a court order.

The spy is right. Your lawyer would have to request the info, or have a jude subpoena it. If you simply walk in the store and ask for it, they have no way to verify that you are the account holder. They do that to protect themselves from being sued .

You can ask for the mesaages in paper form.
If you DEMAND them, they may tell you, "Pffft. Go away. Get a court order, jerk."
