I have an Aiwa record player that's about 7 years old. It's been taking up space on a shelf until recently when I decided to pull it back out. I've noticed the turntable wobbling a bit when I play records, not enough to affect the sound, but enough to cause concern. What causes this and is there any way to make it level again without sending it to a repair shop?

Robert, the turntable platter is not spinning level. As far as the suspension, I honestly have no idea.

A lot of the later turntables were made of plastic which warps if it gets hot. It sounds like this is what happened to you. Sorry, but it'll probably need a new table, good luck finding one.

Hi. I need to know more information. When you say "wobble" are you referring to the turntable platter not spinning level ?Does the turntable have a suspension system against vibration,or is it rigid ? If you could let me know i will have more to work with, thanks.

EDIT.....Thanks for the reply .Ok,can you lift the platter completely of the turntable platform to see if there are any springs or suspension attached to the sub assembly. If the platter wont come off lift the whole turntable up and look underneath to see if there are any springs. Some turntables have a three spring arrangement which can be tightened or loosened to level the platter and arm.If you press down on the platter does the tonearm base move up and down when you press on the platter. Is the edge of the platter very close to the base when it spins.Ok if none of that works and you can't see any springs then we will have to level the whole turntable to get the platter and arm horizontal .The best way is to put some damping material under the turntable using three rubber feet that can be adjusted to level the turntable by carefully cutting one or two pieces of the rubber feet and at the same time using a small spirit level on top of the platter until it is level in all planes. See how you go and let me know if it works.
Cheers,Rob.

definitely anyone is familiar with that IPL is a center of tournament fixing and corruption. So there should not be any ask your self by recent spot fixing scandal and Sreesanth or 2 different cricketers are actually not remoted case. what is going to you assert a pair of massive no ball by RP Singh or 3 catches dropped by Pollord in a row. Why, even in the day gone by's tournament between Rajasthan and Hyderabad, gamers of Rajasthan did not choose for run out attraction in a sparkling run out. IPL is all approximately vulgar money. We purpose audience have our daily fix of cricket-entertainment. not basically there is spot fixing yet in addition suits are scripted and that's pre desperate which communities are going to play off around and which group is going to win the trophy.
