freecycle didn't work. :( I'd rather not have the city of Minneapolis haul it away, but maybe that's what I have to do.

Here's my freecycle posting with details.

Supre-macy 22SF 17" TV, manufactured 1983.

Perfect for the workout room or basement!

I measured diagonally, and had a little trouble. It might be 18" or 19".

We got someone else's 1994 TV that has newer connectors, so we don't
need this one anymore. Full disclosure: the picture is a little dark.

If it works, you can give it to Salvation Army, AmVets, Purple Heart or another charity group.

Man is that OLD....and worthless in about 19 more months !

You could call your garbage company and see what they say about disposing of it/ recycling it....

Other than that, you really have no other options.....

YOU KNOW if you give it away, they'll dispose of it in their own manner...

You could tape a piece of paper on it, stating "WORKS!" and someone will pick it up and use it....set it out with the garbage. There are people who come out before the Trashman cometh that pick thru the stuff.....

Put it outside on a fine day with a notice on it saying For Sale, only $20, apply inside.
Then you'll find that someone will take it away while you're not looking.
If you put a note saying that you are giving it away, people will think it's worth nothing and not bother.
