I am looking into purchasing a new HDTV soon, maybe something in the 42"-56" size. The problem is I have an entertainment center that is only about 10 years old and do not want to get rid of it. The biggest widescreen that it may hold is about a 38". Any suggestions on what to do, besides the obvious in buying an appropriate sized tv. What are most people in my predicament doing? Any help would be great, thanks!

You may need to get rid of the entertainment center or use it to hold the computer.

I gave away my old entertainment center to my brother in law. We went from a 27" tube tv to a 42" plasma. We had to buy a new entertainment center for it. You will probably have to do the same.

Some people are moving the nicer entertainment center into their bedrooms, even though there is no place for a TV in a married couple's room, but that is neither here nor there. Most though are simply donating them for a tax write off. Believe it or not, there are many that refuse to move into the digital age.
