I was reading about features of the ps3, and one feature that caught my eye was the ability to install a second OS. If I installed xubuntu on a PS3, would I be able to install things like beryl or compiz fusion? Also, if I used one of those PC emulators for linux (VMware I think) would I be able to run xp or some kind of windows OS?

1. Yes, the packages for Beryl / Compiz are available for the PowerPC platform ( the kind the PS3 runs on ).

2. VMWare is for "virtualization", meaning it runs operating systems designed for the same processor as the one it is running on (x86 on x86, PowerPC on PowerPC). To run Windows, you have to have an "emulator", like QEMU, instead.
