I'm having trouble installing a Pioneer Blu Ray Drive w/WinDVD HD in my computer. My hardware is up to the requirements but my computer sees the drive as a regular DVD and a message pops up saying "this is a Region A disk, put it in a region A player". Because it's seeing a DVD not a BD DVD it only shows dvd regions (1,2,3,4,5,6) in the properties tab of the drive so I can't change it to "Region A". any help out there?

I Have this mid-90's Hitachi WM-E410A 8mm Camcorder. It has 24X Zoom, and stabilisation. It has RCA Cable inputs, and some 20-hole (Close to square)Jack/Input. It has a remote, and no battery, if that helps. How can i convert these 8mm's to my computer and put them on YouTube? Anything helps!

I plan on buying Lair at 12a.m. Tuesday morning at a Gamestop store. Will Gamestop locations be open late for the release of Lair? I know that they have sold new game systems and highly anticipated games late at night, so does anyone know if they will be open late for the release of Lair?

I'm not sure if you'll understand what I'm about ot say because I'm really confused with this myself. Ok, I saw my friend on aim today and he was on some mobile device. I'm wondering how do you get that? Do you have to go to your phone where it has messaging(IM & Email) to talk on an aim mobile device? Also, what does it do? Becuase I have like no idea about this type of stuff.

I am the proud owner of a new 22" monitor. I opted for the cheaper of two monitors with features that I was looking for. The first had a composite (rca) video input, but the second did not and cost $130 less. I was wondering if anyone knew of an inexpensive way to hook up a VCR or digital cable box to the monitor? (I don't have any kind of HD anything, so using the DVI to plug into an HD connection is out of the question)

I suppose the person with the cheapest solution will get "best answer"

While on a recent flight to Tacoma I was looking through a sappy little catalog provided by the airline when I came across a turntable with a USB cable and the info said it could be used to burn CDs from LP records. I tossed the catalog but thought about it later: I have a stack of LP records that if stacked would come up hip high and I would dearly love to burn these onto CDs.

Is it possible to find one of these at a consumer electronics store (i.e. Best Buy, CompUSA)? I'm looking for one of reasonable quality that wouldn't totally wreck my annual budget and didn't take massive amounts of software to get it to work.

Does anyone have any experience with a USB turntable? Good? Bad? So-so? Any brands to stay away from? Recommendations?

Any help would certainly be appreciated.

I am SOO time-starved or time-management inept b/c I won't realize I have a paper due until the night before it's due, or I'll have a birthday reminder on my gmail calendar that I won't have time to see before their special day is over.
Does a CONSOLIDATED device exist that can combine cell, internet, reminders of dates/appointments, schedule, etc. that is a reasonable price? It doesnt need to be a PDA, there was just no time-management section. All I need is soemthing that really works/simplifies! iPhone= not an option.
I like paper cuz its easy to view and make changes to, but I also hate rewriting everything and big planners are heavy and hard to carry everywhere. The device would have to have cut and pasting, be reliable, and user-friendly.
Does anything exist for all of this? Is there some time management method/program that has really made a difference in your life? I am so overwhelmed it is harming my health and my productivity and my relationships.
Please help, I appreciate it!

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 digital camera, and I'm getting ready to do some traveling in rather remote areas. I want to be able to charge my batteries (Li-Ion) with a solar charger or another device without having to find a wall outlet to plug into.

I figure the only way this would be possible is by using an adapter connected to a solar charger that can plug into the DC port on my digital camera. But does this port actually charge the batteries or just run the camera off of that power?

Or, is there another way for me to charge my Li-Ion batteries with solar power or something similar?

Has anyone else dealt with a similar issue before?

Thanks for you help!

I have an 'industry standard' sony plasma TV, the kind used for seminars and events like that. this means that instead of the conventional scart and HDMI inputs it has BNC inputs. I use a convertor to convert the scart to RGB leads, then an adaptor to make it BNC ( bored yet?)
Below the RGB inputs there is another BNC input labelled HD/Comp, does anyone know if there is an HDMI to BNC converter so I can take a HD signal into this TV, because I can't find one anywhere?
In fact does the HD/Comp even refer to Hi Def in this case?

I bought a new tv last year that has three video outputs (red, green, and blue) and two audio (red and white). The dvd player I have has two audio (the same and they work just fine), but only two video (red and yellow). Is there a component out there to fix the video conversion, or should I get a new dvd player.

FYI, my friend is letting me borrow his DVD player, so if it doesn't work, I can just as easily go buy a cheap dvd player without losing any money.
