Almost all DVD players have a digital audio output for 5.1 Dolby digital via an external AV receiver.

However, there are DVD players that actually have 6 (5.1) analog speaker outputs at the back. I suspect that's what your buyer is looking for. So check the back to see how many analog outputs your player has.

it should be in settings or on box 5.1 is dolby surround sound
