I'm assuming you downloaded the tracks in mp3 format. Therefore the most likely cause of your problem is that your car player is not able to play mp3 files. The majority of in car cd players put in by the manufacturer will not support mp3 files. Nor will many aftermarket in car CD players.

What I do is convert the mp3 files back to .wav format using a small piece of freeware called RazorLame:

Once you've converted to wav then just burn a new CD and you're done. By the way, when burning audio CDs you must "finalize" the CD, you'll find a tick box for this somewhere in your burning software. Also if your download included any album art make sure you don't burn these onto the CD.

Your car CD player may not support CD-R's and that is the most likely explanation. Another one that comes to mind is the format you have burned your CD with. If it is MP3 and your car player is not compatible it will not play.

If you put a label on the CD, it will not play. As a matter of fact, do not attempt to play a CD with a label - It gets hot in there and the label could detach and get stuck.
