Can anyone help or understand this?

I'm not sure if you'll understand what I'm about ot say because I'm really confused with this myself. Ok, I saw my friend on aim today and he was on some mobile device. I'm wondering how do you get that? Do you have to go to your phone where it has messaging(IM & Email) to talk on an aim mobile device? Also, what does it do? Becuase I have like no idea about this type of stuff.

Yahoo, as Yahoo Mobile, has been advertising messaging from, or is it to, your cell phone. With earphones and a microphone you can talk on a desktop, of course, but I don't know about from a cell phone yet, or not.
