I got confused when trying to buy a flashlight today.
When the flashlight says 3 Watts, is that the same wattage output than a light bulb in my house? 3Watts seems very low to me, yet it was the highest wattage I could find.
How does a lumen compare to a watt?
How does a candlepower compare to watt?
Do volts have anything to do with brightness output? Some flashlights only say how many volts.
Some flashlights only say how many LED's it has, is there any way of telling how bright it is?

How am I supposed to compare if every company uses a different method of measuring light? WHY are there all these different measurements for light now? What was wrong with sticking to watts?

Can I know a good/efficient site to download videos, and how to transfer these videos to a CD so that the CD can be viewed on a television screen?

I downloaded several videos from Limewire and transferred the videos to an empty disc. It copied successfully but when I tried to play the disc on my DVD and CD players, the disc was unable to play. The DVD player stated the reason for it being unable to work as 'ROM'.

I really need help on this, thanks!

I am buying a Receiver for my home theater setup, My speakers are a bit older but they still sound amazing and seem to be the best option for my money right now (nothing has blown me away on a <$100 budget). They are older aiwa speakers with 6 ohlms of resistance and 60w rating. I am wondering if it is going to be a problem for me to buy a sony amplifier with 4 or 8 ohlms impedance and 80w rating.

Here is the amp: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=STRDE635&LOC=3

I was informed that as long as i tune into a show within the first 30 minutes my DVR would allow me to watch the show from the beginning, I have never been able to get this to work.

Just wondering....thanks,

I'm a college student, so I'm buying the cheapest TV out there. It's a 20" flat screen CRT from Emerson @ WalMart:

It says it comes with a digital tuner. We're getting cable Internet and TV installed from Comcast tomorrow. Do I need to get a Comcast digital cable box or can I just plug coax into the TV and I get digital TV? I don't really understand what the digital tuner means. I think someone once told me it's in newer TVs and it allows you to get digital cable TV straight into your TV without the box.

Say I had an Ipod, but I wanted two Ipods. One for a certian type of music, and the other for another type of music. And I didn't want to store both of the music genres on the same Ipod. Would there be any way to put two "Ipod programs on one Ipod hard drive". Kind of like when you have two different logins for windows XP, each login has completely different settings, and completely different files, and is basically a different PC. Would there be any way to do the same type of thing with an Ipod? (I actually have a Sansa e200 mp3 player, but it can do everything an Ipod nano can do and more, it can play videos, you can put pictures on it and you can record with it).

i recently lost my 2nd gen ipod and was thinking of buying a new one. then i saw that ipod has just come out with the 3rd gen ipod that plays video. i like both the 2nd and the 3rd gen design but i liked the fact that the 2nd gen one didn't have that shiny back to it because it always scratched easily.

so my question is, does the newest ipod scratch easily like the others or not. this question is intended for those who have already purchased the ipod.

also, is it worth getting or should i wait a little until they start clearancing the 2nd gen ipod and get that one...

Hi I have a venturer portable dvd player and I hooked up the yellow and white cord thing into the player and my tv. It doesn't show the DVD on it. It just shows the regular channel when I turn the DVD player on. Is there a specific channel or mode my tv needs to be in to view the dvd? The DVD player works fine by itself.

I have a string of lantern lights (essentially christmas lights) and to turn them off, they must be unplugged. I am looking for some kind of on/off switch that will allow me to turn them off without unplugging them. I run other appliances through this separate ports on the extension cord so it is essential that this device only turn off the lights. Where can I find such an item? Does it even exist?
