Most likely it might. The iPhone already dropped down 100. If they drop, they might drop as well. But the 100 dollar drop down price was to get rid of all the 60gb models and bring in the 80gb. The 20gb model will go to 499 and the 80gb will stay. Hurry up if you would like to purchase a 60gb. If you are considering to get one go on craigslist.org, but choose your city at the right hand side. You might be able to find somebody selling it. I bought mine in SF for 375.

I don't think that the PS3 will drop in price anymore until maybe near the end of 2008, and if that happens I'll be surprised. But the price really doesn't concern me because I've had my 60GB PS3 since December, But when the price drops somemore on the PS3 I'll probably pick up another one in maybe 3 years or 4 years.

in the new game informer, they said that the price of the 80 gig ps3 will drop to 499, once they phase out the 60 gig models, cause they stopped manufacturing them. but until then, i doubt there will be another price drop.

The trend seems to be bundling games/extras, but with Xmas round the corner (and 60GB stocks dwindling), i'd be surprised if they didn't try something in the next month or two to give it some momentum.
