I'm still calling 800 numbers....did you ask why you can't do that anymore. Could it possibly have meant that some 800 numbers in certain areas were out of service due to the heat wave, floods or something?

You can still call 800 numbers however there are so many toll-free numbers out there that they had to add new 800 prefix indicators. They are 888, 877, and 866 so more toll-free clients can have access to the calling public.

Who said you can't call 800 numbers any more? Your work? Ask what brainiac decided your company needed to pay toll charges instead of make free calls?

At home? Call your phone company and ask.

Who told you you can't use these numbers? That is the person to ask WHY.
