After the images and video has been transferred to the computer, open Windows Movie Maker.

Using Movie Maker (comes with Win XP sp2 or higher) you can import still pictures and videos and drag and drop them into either the storyline or timeline at the bottom of the screen. Add transitions between shots, clips, etc. also add titles and credits.

While working on a project, save it as a project.
When finished, save as a movie which can be burned to a CD or DVD.

NOTE: to make a DVD you'll need to save as a PC movie then burn to DVD disk with DVD authoring software like Nero or similar program. If you have Win Media Center edition, you can copy straight to DVD from Movie Maker.

Easy - download this program - don t download the program you have with the camera this 1 is good enough and even better
http://picasa.google.com/
plug the usb cable
turn the camera on when it is pluged and not before
and hokus pokus you ll see all the pics in your comuter
make a v on what you want to do to imprt them or just part of them
The good thing in this program is that it is very simple and friendly
and beside there is a webalbum which you can move all your pics and let people look at the pics somewhere else in their computer or where ever
good luck

When you purchased your Canon ixus, they should have given you a diskette with softwares for photo editing / album, file transfer, and for burning CDs. Download these files onto your computer and follow instructions to transfer your picture and video files to your computer. You can then burn selected files onto a CD.

If it's just picture files that you'd like to share with your family, you can consider uploading them to free album at Yahoo Photo or Flickers and invite your family / friends via an email to view them.
