my ipod video has a lot of dead pixels, large black spots on the screens.. it's under warranty and i sent it in already...will they fix it or send me a new one? also if my model is discontinued and they replace it will they still send me the same model i had? its a 5g video btw

generally they replace the ipod unless its a minor repair. returned ipod's get fixed and resold as factory reconditioned so apple doesn't really lose anything.

they fix it with second hand parts or replace it with a new one if its really dead. they send the same model.
