Charger for protected 14500 batteries?

Whether a charger meant for protected 14500 batteries can be used to charge normal 1.2 - 1.5v nimh batteries

No idea what a protected 14500 batt is or the specs of it's charger. All you need to know is the open circuit out put voltage and current rating of the charger to know if it will charge 1.2 - 1.5 v batts. It should be around 2x the batt voltage and at least 300 ma. Chargers that use a current limiting led are preferred to prevent over charging.
