the computer is about six years old with 1.4 ghz pentinum 4 processor with 512 ram in it . I was wondering if i could use the dell windows xp professional disk to load on to this computer an sort of update it for a low budget upgrade since I have the disk here at my house now. Since the windows ME is not the best operating system at all . I could see benefits of having the windows XP Professional on it to extend the life of my dinosaur.

How does a keylogger program work? I know it copies everything that is typed, but I have some other questions too.
1. Does it also save info that is sent by another person like emails and IM's from friends?
2. It has to be download on the computer you want info saved right? It can not be download on one computer to access another one, right?
3. Can the saved info be accessed from another computer or only from the computer it's download on? As info the can you only see that saved info by going on the same computer it's download on?
4. Can a keylogger harm your computer?
5. Will an anti virus software like Norton or whatever detect and erase the keylogger?

Thanks!

My daughter has a computer about a yr old. The last time I installed an up date I get an error everytime I turn on the computer. It says something like the DLL memory has been relocated I need to contact the DLL manufactor for a new path. I than did a system restore and set the install to no installs. Do I really need to do these updates, and if you do not understand what the error said I can allow it to update and get the exact words.

I just bought 2 new laptops and they came with Windows Vista and I HATE it.
I want XP.
I have an XP Upgrade disc but I can't use it with Vista because you can't upgrade backwards, I guess.
Do I have to get an older verison of Windows; like ME, 2000, 98 etc. and then use the XP upgrade disc?
Can I use the upgrade on both laptops or will I need 2 discs (the same thing with getting the older OS?

OR

Is there another way to down grade from Vista to XP without spending $100 or more????

HELP!!!!!
Is there any place

My understaning of OEM was that it's good to use on one computer & that's it. If you upgrade your PC then your old OEM version is useless. However if you buy the full version, it's your copy & if you upgrade your PC then you can put it on the new one. Is that correct or is there no benefit to buying the full version?
