Windows XP, it will work with computers a few years old, plus its a proven platform with excellent support for software and hardware.

i would say xp professional because there is soposed 2 be 5 more years of service for that, unlike xp home which has only 3 more years (i think, cant remember)
and i dont recomend vista because it just came out and there are some bugs and a lot of programs dont work with that version of windows yet

At this time I would get XP other than Vista. Still too many bugs in Vista. Why do you think you need to do this. Your computer works?
