does anybody know if system restor to a certain date will help if i mistakenly deleted a programme and i want it back but i do not have the cd so i restore the computer to an early date will that work?

If you deleted a program accidently, why don't you restore them from recyle bin. If you uninstalled a program then you need to re-install using the CD. simple as that.

U have a 60:40 possibilty of getting it back.
But many times it depends on the program that u lost. Some programs cannot be recovered. Give it a try.
