Software - January 2007

I just want windows to be left on my computer and a few other small programs can i easily delete everything except a few programs???

I've done everything the MSN spaces website told me to fix the problem (turn off pop-up blockers and change the configuration of my antivirus) but I still can't download the program. The worst part is that I was able to do it before.
Does anyone know what else can I do?

I accidentally deleted a picture through Kodak EasyShare. So I went to the recycling bin to restore it. After restoring it, I can't find it. It says it's supposed to go back to it's original location, but it's not in EasyShare. I've closed out the program and reopened it without luck. I've also tried using the search function. What's wierd is that all my EasyShare pics have an Adobe Photoshop icon, so I looked there too, but it wasn't there either. Is there a list of recently restored items I can look up?

it is running and jamming up your CPU? MSASCui.exe also does this. I know what program they are associated with, I would just like to be able to see them more easily and shitcan them if things are running too slow.

I am mostly putting together power points with pictures/photo's from my own files. My husband tends to do more document type of presentations. When we attempted to put them in yesterday they were too large and trying to manually reduce the sides/size was hard to do as the edges of the picture went off the area and it's time consuming. Condsidering this is the first of many I will doing and this one involves 50 pictures is there a way to automatically formatt them or make this any easier. We tried the page format that has one heading and then put the picture underneath it and then I believe we also tried the one with one heading and then under that it had a big box but it didn't seem to work for either without resizing it.

Please give me simple instructions : )

If it is important I do not have a newer power point model that may have things easier now?!

We also tried to right click and input the pictures but got the jpeg symbol in there not the picture.

I lost my itunes, and all the songs on it, i have tried to reinstall it but get the following message 'quicktime version 7.0d0 is installed, itunes requires quick time version 7.1.3 or later, please reinstall itunes'. i delete whats remaining of itunes and quicktime, tried to reinstall itunes, but get the same message, somebody please help!!

I click my document, it then tells me its not a .doc document and it is. I have tried a different word processor and restarted too. It says it has 119kb on it. Any help would be great

I have had my Dell pc for 2-3 years and have Windows XP installed, but Word and Excel are no longer available as options for opening a document.

I have tried re-installing the disks that came with the pc, but they say that because the current system is better than that on the disk, they cannot upload. Presumably this is due to the upgrades that occur automatically over the years.

What can I do?

I have XP system, SP2 and IIS are installed. I also unchecked the "use simple file sharing". None worked. I also logged in as an administrator in the safe mode. The security tab didnt appear. I want to grant access to a database this is why I am trying to reach the security tab.

I have MS Office 2000 Professional and use Outllook for email, diary and contacts and sync this with my Nokia 6680. Microsoft no longer supports Office 2000 and it sometimes causes problems. I am using Windows and recently downloaded Internet Explorer 7.
My computer is driving me crazy because it seems to randomly switch windows/tabs (whatever you want to call them).
For example, I click to open a new explorer tab and it opens the new tab but it doesn't display that one-- it displays another tab that I have open already. Then, when I click on the new tab, it won't always switch over to it right away.
Also, this seems to happen with MS Excel and is driving me CRAZY. For example, I will have two workbooks and then open a new one, but instead of going to the new workbook tab it will go to one of the existing workbooks. Then, sometimes I will be pasting the data into the new workbook and all of a sudden it goes back to the tab of the old workbook. (I hope this makes sense, I am finding it a bit hard to explain.)
I have checked my add-ons and cleared the spyware but the problem still occurs.
Would anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

I'm trying to make my MYSPACE default photo fade in/out with 3 different images. I already tried windows media it doesnt work. I've seen different profiles where 2 or 3 pictures are fading in and out and it is set-up as someones default photo. Hope that makes sense
