Is there an easy way to take my computer back to the core system. Without a Operating system cd?

I just want windows to be left on my computer and a few other small programs can i easily delete everything except a few programs???

Open Control Panel, then open Add or Remove Programs to remove programs that you don't need.

I have a 2 yr old Dell. You don't need a cd. System restore?
