I accidentally deleted a picture through Kodak EasyShare. So I went to the recycling bin to restore it. After restoring it, I can't find it. It says it's supposed to go back to it's original location, but it's not in EasyShare. I've closed out the program and reopened it without luck. I've also tried using the search function. What's wierd is that all my EasyShare pics have an Adobe Photoshop icon, so I looked there too, but it wasn't there either. Is there a list of recently restored items I can look up?

Do you know what type of file your picture is? jpg, bmp, etc. If you know that, then you can do a search for that file type. You would enter a search term of *.jpg (or whatever file type it is) and you would get a list of all of that particular type. You would have to look through the results to find what you wanted, but it should be there.

Good luck! I know how frustrating searching for such things can be. I have 200,000 files on my computer so that searching for just one of them can be a hassle.

**I just read the answer above mine. The unerase wizard is part of Norton's Systemworks, so you would need to have that installed in order to use it.

The file was moved back, but EasyShare did not automatically detect it. Open Windows Explorer and figure out where the rest of your EasyShare pictures are stored... you might be able to get EasyShare to show you where the pictures in your collection are stored. If all else fails, do a search from the start menu and try to find your collection.

Once you know where your pictures are stored, you ought to be able to find the one you deleted... once you find the one you deleted, just add it back into EasyShare's collection (my collection, add pictures, locate the picture and click done).

restoration the products means that they're going to bypass back to the unique places the place you deleted them from. as an occasion; in case you deleted the photographs from My photographs folder and you click on restoration all products on the Recycle bin, then the photographs will return back to My photographs folder. this is corresponding to an occasion interior the real international; once you toss something into the recycle bin, you may the two bypass back there and get it (whether it continues to be clever), yet once you empty the recycle bin you may't get it anymore. wish it facilitates.

So far as I know:

If you open your Recycle Bin, you will see files you deleted from folders, but not yet deleted from the directories.

If you double-click on the Recycle Bin, you will get the "unerase wizard" which lists files you can still recover.

If you don't see it, it is on your hard drive someplace, but removed from the directory, and it would take an expensive computer expert to find it.
