Software - January 2007

Where can I find Microsoft Office 03 or better for less than $150.00? I went to Microsoft.com and there price is $150.00, which I have a hard time with mainly because this software used to be free. I am in college and I really need this program ASAP. Thanks for the help.

ok, i downloaded avi movies off bearshare, but how or can i burn the movies on to a CDRW? please help even thought there might not be much help.

Obviously the upgrade is cheaper but I worry that an upgrade might just put Vista over the top of XP which doesn't sound as efficient as a clean install of the full version. Does anybody know how it works? Would there be a performance drop in upgrading an existing XP system compared to installing full Vista on a clean hard drive?

I have a game that used to open up on 'on top' of windows xp. For some reason now it opens as a window in xp which is rather annoying as it's causing problems in the game. How can I change this back? I'm presuming it's a setting in Windows and not the game itself.

Hi, I wan to print a blank worksheet with microsoft excel. It's not printing the gridlines though, What i've tried: file/page setup/sheet/print with gridlines. Still doesn't print the gridlines, it only priints the lines where there's input.

I installed a trial version of xp 64 onto my laptop, which has an AMD Turion 64 processor, and 1gb ram. However, when trying to run my games, it said that drivers for the ati xpress 1100 graphics card had not been installed. So i downloaded it, but when trying to install got a message saying that it could not run on a 64 bit OS. Does this mean that no 'normal' programs will work on x64?
this is a bit annoying because Age Of Empires 3 told me that my computer was only running at 800 mhz, because I didnt have the software get the full 1.6ghz peformance promised by the turion processor. Whats going on?? Would I have been better off buying a machine with the old school 32 bit processor instead, with a higher processing speed?

My xp product key has exeeded the amount of times it can be used. I was told a can try and call microsoft and get a new one but there are no gaurantees. What can I expect them to ask me about my old product key? What should I tell them? I've used the key two times already, first I reinstalled it on the computer it had already come preinstalled on thinking that would fix a problem and the second time I installed it on my laptop with no problem now I have a third computer and the key is no good! should I tell MS about my new computer or what can I do to get a new key? I believe that when I reinstalled it the first time, that counted against the amount of times I could use the key,is this true? if so, should I tell MS that? How can I get a new key?
