Software - January 2007

Does anyone out there know of a good writing software for editing? Someone mention "white smoke" but I am not familiar with it. I need software that is easy to use and can do more than spellcheck and offer a thesaurus. I'm looking for software that can correct poor sentence structure and advance punctuation if needed.

So yeah that is my problem. Whenever I save a file from imageready it comes out looking as if it were in low resolution.. Is there any way of saving the file in a higher resolution?

How do I use my printer to print a jpg picture not 8 1/2 x 11 but 24x48 or even bigger but over several sheets? I could tape the sheets together to make the complete image. Any way to do it with the picture programs that come with windows?

I use Norton, but the last two programs I bought said "corrupt or invalid" file. I deleted and reinstalled again, "corrupt or invalid file". So far I can't get Symantecs to do anything about it, so my next step is BBB. Norton use to be so good and it is what I always bought. I guess it's time to move on to something else. McAfee froze my computer up, so I don't use them anymore. So I don't know what the heck to do. I am getting aggravated.

I went to Microsoft.com and they say that I can only upgrade to XP Pro from 2000 Pro!Should I do it?
I mean I don't think I really need the XP Pro.(but again I don't know what is the difference)
So what should I do?Can I uninstall Win2000 Pro that I have now without loosing my other programs?If yes,how?

my command is in a batch file.It is- for /f %%i in (D:\Storage\Links\Control Panel\Restore\erase.txt) do @erase %%i- I have a list of destinations for deletion in "erase.txt".1 question is how can I get this same batch file to do more than 1 command in the same .txt file.How it is now all items in erase.txt would follow the Erase command.Problem is I want to have only 1 batch file and 1 .txt file with different commands.Second problem is how in the world do you use spaces in the txt file.for example:Control Panel has 1 space.Apparently using " at beginning and end of command doesnt work.I tried putting all names in DOS form but it seems some names of directories dont have a dos form.Kinda odd,its seems only newer files dont have one even after reboot.Im also having the same problem with the batch file destination- D:\Storage\Links\Control Panel\Restore\erase.txt-spaces wont work and cant use "" so how can I do this when some names have no DOS form. Thanks alot if you can help

We aquired an old computer w/windows 95 already installed. It seems to be okay except when scandisk runs it says the 'C:\DIR00001 folder is damaged and is invalid.
Well, yeah.. there is nothing there at all.
Does anyone know how I can get this folder off the internet without reinstalling the entire windows 95 (which is pretty much obsolete now) even according to the MS Support Team where I have already tried. No Luck there!

Can anyone help, this would make a nice second computer for us to just mess around on and play games.. no internet or anything fancy.

Oh, and its MS-DOS, sooo old!

I was having problems with Internet Explorer 7, so I uninstalled IE7. After rebooting, I noticed my Aquarium Theme was no longer in use. I went into properties, and then themes and saw that it was no longer a choice. How can I restore it? I am not paying because it was on my computer when I bought it. I also do not have pointers other than the classic and wish to get them back also. Please help!
