Is there any program available that will allow me to make a copy of a cd with technology that prevents it from being burned?

I was talking more about games, such as Battlefield 1942.

would be nice if you would have been a little more specific... what type of CD??? Music CD, PC Game CD, Playstation 1 and/or 2 CD/DVD, Karaoke CD, maybe a PC Software CD's, Movie DVD CD's????... please be more specific....

this is actually pretty simple even without the specific information...

the best program out there that will let you copy Protected CD's ... pretty much anything except movies is a program called.. Alcohol 120%

http://www.alcohol-software.com/

its not free (30 day free trial) but if you do a little looking around on-line... you might find a patch/crack or hell.. its even worth buying... but if you were talking about Copying or "Backing" up DVD movies... then you'll need a few other programs like:

1.) DVDFab Decrypter
2.) DVD Shrink
3.) Nero or (any burning program that will burn ISO files)

What type of technology? Some cds are actually written in such a way (Playstation CDs) that regular readers can't read some of the information. Try CloneCD though.

The first cd burners that came out did not have those stops in them. I don't know of any way other than that if you don't want signal degradation. I have recorded them onto a tape and recorded them back onto a cd, but they hiss like a tape so I don't recommend it. And don't break any laws, I've heard some messed up stories.

Sounds odd, but use an old cd burner and old buring software. They dont recognize cd protection technology and largely ignore it.

If you can't find a program that will let you rip it directly, then try something else called "Loop Recorder". You can get it from http://www.download.com .
