I was having problems with Internet Explorer 7, so I uninstalled IE7. After rebooting, I noticed my Aquarium Theme was no longer in use. I went into properties, and then themes and saw that it was no longer a choice. How can I restore it? I am not paying because it was on my computer when I bought it. I also do not have pointers other than the classic and wish to get them back also. Please help!

Thanks for the info. The pointers did come back on. However, my themes were turned on. The Plus! themes that came with my computer are no longer a choice? Would I get these back by re-installing XP? And if I did, would I lose all of my current information by doing so?

Go into the control panel, be sure you are looking at the control panel in classic view mode. Now double-click on administrative tools. Now double-click on services. Scroll down until you see "themes" and right-click on it. Click on start and you should be good to go to install the windows XP theme.

Look around their site, which can be slow at times.
There are thousands of other themes besides the standard windows ones.
For the Pointers:
Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs,add/remove windows components, highlight Accessories and Utilities, click Details, highlight Accessories, click Details, check or uncheck Mouse pointers, then OK OK OK OK.
you may need your XP CD for this, and you may have to repeat the process, once to uninstall it, then again to re-install.

if you are running xp try going to start / all progs/ accesorries/ system tools/ system restore. here you will find a diary box . click on a highlighted date before you uninstalled explorer7. this will reset your computer to that date and system settings it should bring everything back as it was on that date , then find a better way to delete ie7. hope this works for you

have you tried on the destop doing these steps: Right click the background > properties There should be something like themes or something, look around to see if you can find xp somewhere, it should be there (sorry about confusion, i just recently moved onto windows 7)

yes but make sure you just tel the start up xp software to repair and you will be good, not re-insytall repair
