If you're using a newer version of Word, you should be able to open the Excel file in Word and it will convert it automatically. Otherwise, you could save the Excel file as text (tab delimited works well) and then open the text file in Word and save as a Word file.

You cant convert an excel to a word but you can put an excel table and cells into a word document by copying and pasteing.

You can drag-and-drop a spreadsheet into a Word doc.
