how do I get rid of the "restore firefox session" screen each time I boot up?

It shouldn't load each time you start Firefox, it only loads up when you don't properly shut down firefox with the X in the upper right corner or if your computer froze. That option is available so you don't lose the websites you were looking at. So are you saying each time you load firefox it says about restoring?

Close Firefox propertly, before rebooting.

Actually resume your session, meaning click yes, and then close it out. Problem solved.
