i've tried winamp and windows media player, but with some videos i play on them they stall when i attempt to fastforward them.

Music match does this fine. I get this as part of any DELL I buy

I would suggest trying Musicmatch Jukebox this program has the same basic features as Windows media player. When I have problems with Win media player I can usually accomplish what I need with Musicmatch. Check their website musicmatch.com .

Exaile but that's not available for Windows (media players for Windows suck, though many mention Foobar 2000 as being a good one).

jet-audio rulzzz and it plays all kinds of formats including RM and quick time!!! and also hook it up withe k-lite mega codec pack.........
