i click for updates, that works, then i click for find prob and fix prob. Then in about a minute after all the purple squares go away and a new set start working their way across the bottom, it gets to about 9 squares and stops. I let it just sit there for about 45 min , it did not want to delete when clicked the X. I went to control panel. to uninstall. Big notice telling me all these dire things that might happen. I do not understand any of it. what do i do. ( I finelly got it closed. forget how. HELP

Everytime I try to open Word, a box opens with Windows Installer-won't continue nor can I delete it. Went into delete programs and clicked on Microsoft Word-when I clicked, box opened with Windows Installer and again nothing. Have disk and that does same thing. Any more suggestion? Thanks.

70% of the time it opens normally. I've changed the settings but it will still open up as a full page without the menu, tool or address bar. It drives me crazy because I have to close it and reopen it several times.

i used to use this nifty program called jyte that let me put in my favorite key words (like Tori Amos) and it would find all the daily news about them. i'm not looking for a search engine, and i've tried a couple rss readers, but they all want me to suscribe to a specific webpage. I just want to be able to click a link and it takes me to the article about the keyword.

I have been trying to type a document using Microsoft Word. Have used it many times with no problems. Now I have a problem. About halfway through typing the document, Word completely closes. No warning or error message or anything. Just suddenly back to wallpaper. I have anti-virus and firewall and all that stuff running. Any ideas why this is happening and what to do about it. Hurry. I would like to add music to my movies, but when I try to place them from the task list, I get a window telling me the music was protected using digital rights and cannot be imported. The music was originally downloaded from CDs. Can you please suggest a way that I can get music that will be accepted! thanks!

I currently own a PC, but plan on switching to a Mac. I will probably just use my PC for occasional gaming rather than bother with having to buy a new copy of Windows XP Home Edition to install on my mac with Boot Camp. But my real question is, is there a significant enough difference between the Mac version and the Windows version of Microsoft Office to warrant my shelling out $130 or so to have Microsoft Office on my Mac rather than just using a PC for word processing and such? Also, do you think it is worth it to buy a copy of XP to install on my Mac so I can do everything on a single computer?

Ok, i have been making this powerpoint for about the last 5 hours, no kidding. Last two things i have to do and i don't know how. One, put music over a voice recoding, so you can hear both at the same time. 2 burn it all on to a dvd to play, i know you have to do something speical first, but i don't know.
