i click for updates, that works, then i click for find prob and fix prob. Then in about a minute after all the purple squares go away and a new set start working their way across the bottom, it gets to about 9 squares and stops. I let it just sit there for about 45 min , it did not want to delete when clicked the X. I went to control panel. to uninstall. Big notice telling me all these dire things that might happen. I do not understand any of it. what do i do. ( I finelly got it closed. forget how. HELP

You will be fine to completly uninstall Spybot Search N Destory it won't cause any problems for you at all.

Reinstall it again and try again just do an install and scan no updates and see how that comes together for you.

You can also do a Repair install in other words reinstalling over the top of the original installation incase there is a corrupt file that is assigned with Spybot that is stopping things working correctly for you.

See how that goes for you :)

The adware or spyware has targeted Spybot S&D. The answer is to use more than one anti-adware program! Try Adaware SE. it's free and finds things that SpyBot can't.

Also if you have sbc dsl get the free Computer Associates internet protection software from your yahoo account.

The more good anti-everything programs you have the better off you are. But only if you USE them

hmm sounds like u have an inteliggent pice of adware try running another spyware prog like adaware
