If you installed it on a second computer then you may have gotten dinged by the Microsoft Genuine Advantage program, which only allows you to use an unlicensed copy for 30 days. If it is properly licensed and you have used it for a while, try uninstalling from the Windows "Add or Remove Programs" function. If that fails, first run a virus scan to see if you have any offending intruders. And if that fails, you may want to try restoring Windows to a previous point in time (before it started acting up) and see if that solved the problem. If not, do a search on Microsoft knowledge base articles with the specific error message or problem that occurs and see what you find.

Might not have to reinstall. Give this a try:

Open a new Word document.
click Help
click "Detect and Repair"

have your CDs ready just in case.

Just un-install ur Microsoft office package and re-install it. You can't un-install MS Word separately. Don't woory about office documents. They won't be deleted if you un-install. When it is re-installed the documents will open again.
