Software - December 2006

My computer will only start in safe mode now. So from safe mode I started to reinstall windows XP. The program started installing a portion of it and then rebooted. But since my computer will not reboot in normal mode the computer is just recycling throught the boot process and never actually doing anything. When I hit F8 and force it back into safe mode I got an error message that Windows XP can not install in Safe Mode and automatically reboots. What do I do?

i have adobe photo deluxe or something like that and its good but its just outdated, and need a new and better program, with the fun features like chroming out ur picture or maken it look like a sketch and so on, anyone have any good recomendations it would help, and also cheap would be good as well.

When I download PDF file from the Internet and open that "Cannot find or create the font TimesNewRoman,BoldItalic. Some character may not display or print correctly".

Though I have The above said font installed in my computer.

I am trying to figure out how to create a form. I have some Word 07 Templates saved, but everytime I use one I created, I still have to go and re-format, which wastes a lot of time. I have MS InfoPath. I used that to create a form, but I usually e-mail a lot of them, so it would cost more time and money to have to print them out and snail mail them everytime. However, I work with small agencies who do not always have updated software, so they do not have the software to view them from InfoPath. Is there any way to turn an InfoPath form into a Word form? My forms are pretty basic, usually just meeting notices with time, date, place and invitees, but having something that I could tab through or checkbox off and then e-mail out would be great. Any suggestions?

I can't remember the name but I was told a few weeks ago of a protection from spyware/viruses program that, in addition to protecting your PC, it will do nasty things to the PC of the person who tried to infect your PC. Has anyone of such program and if so, what NASTY THINGS does it do to the other PC ? If that is true, then it's the best thing since slice bread !! Thanks.

I want a FREE DVD ripper that can rip a movie onto my computer. I want it to be viewable so I can watch it on my computer. I dont want a whole bunch of .vob and .ifo and .iso files on my computer. It has to be...
-FREE (full freeware)(NOT a trial version)
-can rip DVD's into chapters
-convert the movie into a movie file (.avi)
-export good quality video (DivX, Xvid ...)
-easy to use
*if there is a program that can convert .vob and .ifo files to video files, that would be okay too
*i'm NOT necessarily looking for a program to BACKUP DVD's. I'm looking for a program that will backup a DVD but being viewable and editable with other programs.

I've been looking around everywhere and can't find a program that fits what i'm looking for. Thanks for any help.

I'm cheap and lazy and hate paying for software if I can get it for free. Does anyone know af a freeware program to enable avi's to be able to burn to dvd's so they play in a dvd player? I found lots that want $19.95 for a reg #, but as I said, I hate to buy it if I can find it for free. One I found let me convert 50% and then asked for $19.95 to convert the other 50% (what a crock!)

I record the online game i play with a program called Fraps, which is just a basic screenshot,benchmark and video recording tool. When using it, the videos i record turn out perfect and are in .wmv format. When i drag it into Vegas, then render as... .wmv, and play it, it turns out super blurry and looks like crap. Can anyone help me?
