I want a FREE DVD ripper that can rip a movie onto my computer. I want it to be viewable so I can watch it on my computer. I dont want a whole bunch of .vob and .ifo and .iso files on my computer. It has to be...
-FREE (full freeware)(NOT a trial version)
-can rip DVD's into chapters
-convert the movie into a movie file (.avi)
-export good quality video (DivX, Xvid ...)
-easy to use
*if there is a program that can convert .vob and .ifo files to video files, that would be okay too
*i'm NOT necessarily looking for a program to BACKUP DVD's. I'm looking for a program that will backup a DVD but being viewable and editable with other programs.

I've been looking around everywhere and can't find a program that fits what i'm looking for. Thanks for any help.

attempt DVD Rip. it relatively is a huge, gentle-weight loose gadget which will rip your DVD's right into a video format. i'm unsure if it is going into MP4 format, yet whilst no longer, you could continually use AVS Video Converter 6, yet another loose software which will convert your documents into despite you like, noticeably MP4 (iPod) format. i'm hoping this helps! P.S. if this wasn't what you have been finding for, you could attempt Handbrake (it is for homestead windows AND Mac, so do no longer difficulty) i've got on no account used it in the past, in spite of the undeniable fact that curiously to be precisely what you're finding for. click the 2d link in sources.

ive got one on a cd from my cousin. it is called Magic DVD Ripper. although i found a crack for the trial version. otherwise, i would not recommend trying to download it off the net, too many viruses and too much of a risk getting caught.

No such program (that does ALL that by itself) is available for free.
Sorry.
