can u get viruses?

I booted my computer the other day with my SD card reader plugged in with an SD card in it. During the boot Windows XP checked the drive and gave information about it, including the report that the volume is dirty. I ran chkdsk but it doesn't seem to have any problems. Does this need any attention, or are SD cards always "dirty"?

WMP says the burner isn't connected properly (?) It has been suggested I use nimo codecs for replacing drivers. I dont know what to do!!

Paint shop pro 8 crashes every time that i attempt to load it with my new computer, it did install from the program disk and starts loading, then stops partially through the load procedure & crashes. I have tried contacting tech support for HP & they were of no help after 4 hours talking to them, we tried several things and nothing has solved the problems. One of the support techs said it was a graphics card issue, & then they suggested i just send it back if I'm not happy. I purchased PSPXI and it will not even install completely. So now i cannot use either program. I d/l a trial of adobe photoshop CS & it works, as well as internet & macromedia dreamweaver. My problems seem localized to PSP 8 & XI. Corel has not yet answered my questions 4 days later. I hate to send this comp back, since i just got it Friday, but if i can't get it working then i will be forced to. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. With PSP8 it crashes at the initializing pallets screen

I've recently got a Apple mac and need to copy files to a cd. I used Nero on my old PC and i need a program like that that will work on my new mac.

I kno you can drop and drag files and set it to write but i need it so that it converts the files, eg if I put mp.3 files on there then they will be converted so that I can play them in a Cd player

okay so here's the deal: I got microsoft office 2003 of a 60 day trial on my laptop when I bought it. I bought a CD of office at school because I got a really good deal. I installed it when my free trial went out. Now I have two microsoft offices on my computer: the standard edition and the professional edition. So here's my questions:

1. Will it cause any problems if I uninstall one of them?

2. How can I find out which one is the free trial that expired and which one is my good copy?

Somehow, I lost the ability to click on an email link and go to the website (nothing happens).I want to be able to click on an emailed link and be taken to the website (instead now I have to "copy shortcut", open a browser, paste it into the address bar, and hit GO. This is becoming quite annoying, to say the least.)
What happenned and how can I fix this so it works like it did before it got all f***ed up????? PLEASE HELP!!! (I use Outlook Express)

I have two worksheets in a single Excel file. I would like to include the sum of the values in sheet#1 as a precedent in sheet#2. This has to be simple, but I can't make it happen. I checked the help section, which mentions the capability to use values from different sheets, but it does not describe how. I have also tried all of the Paste-Special features to no avail. It's important to mention that I want the precedent in sheet#2 to update automatically whenever the referenced cell in sheet#1 is changed. Thanks!

It boots up to... "remove disc and press any key to continue.....invalid command prompt e.g. command.com..." Does this make sense to anybody ?
"D" drive not working only "A" drive.
I've tried some DOS commands ..FDISK/STATUS...etc...No luck!
Anybody want a large coaster ?
