Outlook is mostly overkill for home users. It has lots of calendar sharing, date book stuff in addition to the mail client capability. It's a great product but mostly suitable to large businesses.

Outlook Express, on the other hand, is just a mail and news client with more basic capabilities. Plus it takes less time to load than Outlook.

Both are great products.

Hi,

Its my opinion that Microsoft Outlook email client is far better than Outlook Express email client. Some of the unique features supporting my opinion are mentioned below: -

• The security settings in Outlook does not has any loop hole. Specially the latest version Outlook 2013 is the best one.
• Outlook allows you to manage your contacts easily. You can store all the details of your contacts such as contact numbers, email ids, addresses, etc.
• Configuring the gmail ids with Outlook is as easy as cutting a cake.
• Outlook also allows you to manage your calendar entries as per your schedule.

With each new version, Outlook is providing never ending features. And therefore, its my opinion that Outlook is the best email client application.

Regards

If you have Outlook, i'd say that would be better because it has better managment of contacts and security. You will need to know your pop3 and smtp info from your internet or mail provider. When you start up outlook for the first time, it will walk you through setup.

I think Outlook is better, because it has management of contacts, mails, calendar entries etc.And is best suited for large business. Whereas Outlook Express is for home users only.
