I was thinking of downloading/using BitTorrent, but will files be taken from my computer? Or is there a way of stopping that? Stopping people stealing my information.

BitTorrent is a file sharing program. Any file that you are downloading will automatically be shared with other people. Any file that you have downloaded will still be shared until you tell the program not to. Any file that you want to share will be shared as well. Any other file will not be shared.

On a clean device, acquire a duplicate of Knoppix. it relatively is a bootable CD that plenty all courses into memory. Its a Linux kernel so which you dont have the comparable document permission matters like in homestead windows. as quickly as Knoppis is loaded up then i might "mount" your hard disk and use extremely some the disk utilities to test your disk. the effective subject approximately Knoppix is that the homestead windows registry and document permissions on no account get invoked like whilst homestead windows boots. That way, in case you p.c. to delete a document, the document is merely long gone. You dont get any of that homestead windows document permission errors. attempt to clutter around with that and clean out as much as you could. Then reboot into homestead windows and it would desire to artwork to get sufficient of the undesirable code off the device that then a homestead windows document application can help get you back up and dealing good. different than that...merely use Knoppix to get admission to your documents, replica what you want to shop then format. Thats the uncomplicated way out.

Yes, with torrents you have to share what you have. If you don't, you will eventually not be able to get any files either.

People are not stealing your information but with torrents if you want to get something, you have to share what you already have.
