I've recently got a Apple mac and need to copy files to a cd. I used Nero on my old PC and i need a program like that that will work on my new mac.

I kno you can drop and drag files and set it to write but i need it so that it converts the files, eg if I put mp.3 files on there then they will be converted so that I can play them in a Cd player

iTunes, it comes with Macs, and it's free, drag and drop mp3's into iTunes, make a playlist, file>new playlist, drag from the music library into the playlist, then click the burn icon or go to burn in the file menu.

Creating a burn folder will burn files, but not a cd that can play in a cd player

Can you write click and create a Burn Folder? Just drag files into that burn folder and then click the little "burn" button in the corner. That's how it is on my iMac. I'm a converted PC user too so I'm still thinking in PC terms too.
