i use windows xp running on an older system that is very slow how can i improve this speed i am on cable broadband (light use) this is not real fast either.

I am buying a new HP computer tomorrow and was wondering how am I going to transfer my files from my existing computer to my new one. I have some software that needs to transfer (such as photoshop) but I don't have the CD's to re-install them to my new computer. I borrowed them awhile back from family members.

Could I simiply copy the file folder of the software programs onto a disk/USB Storage Stick and save them on my new computer? Or any other recommendations?

i would rather not to use itunes and copy it on my ipod just like my mp3 player, all i do is i copy the music on there and boom its on there. if any one could help me out with copying music/photos/videos on my ipod it would be very helpful....thanks very much

Heyy,
I was just wondering what is a good program for ripping DVDs, because I have tried so many... they usually end up in a weird form and no sound...
So which is a really good one, but is easy to use?
(I don't care if it's free or not lol, as long as it works
...
but free is good lol ;] )

Because it came with the comp, I don't have any authorization passwords. Can I automatically obtain them from their website, or do I have to purchase them separately?

The Add/Remove program will not list programs to be removed. I am using Win XP SP 2. It is updated. The solutions on the Microsoft site don't seem to apply since the file mentioned in the systems folder is present.

I have a Brother multi-function machine that I want to set up for a Linux system. I went to the Brother website and they said to do that, I would need to use the cd that went with the machine-thats long gone.
How would I go about getting the drivers for this machine?
Without sending off for a cd? Thanks!

Hello, whenever I try to install Adobe Photoshop (from the Adobe website) it goes to the Unzip file thing, and I click on Unzip, and when it's done...it says 404 files unzipped, than nothing happens after...so, I don't know what to do...lol. Someone help me please!! :-)

Who cares which system will win!! It's all depending which system that you like the most, who cares what other people says! For myself i think the ps3 is the best, because it has the future format of DVD, Blue-ray and it is the most powerful system in the world yet. The games only used a little bit of the tech that the ps3 offers and the games are as good as the other systems! next few years, they'll figure out how to use the full advantage that the ps3 ofers and you can imagine how good it will be!!

I REALLY need help with the Windows XP Photo Printing Wizard.

Is there absoultely ANY way to re-set the dimension settings for printing? Like, instead of them giving the 5 x 7 photo prints, can I re-set them to something like...5 x 5?

I hope there is, as I need photos that are WAY different for a project, but I can't get it to work.

Or, is there any other kind of client I could get that is better than this that lets me print out my OWN dimensions (preferably in inches)?

Thanks a lot to someone who can help ahead of time.
