u'r question is not so clear my friend. however, s far s i can guess, u wanna make a data dvd. it's real easy, get nero (latest one) and it'll tell u what to do. trust me, it's very user friendly.
BUT the problem begins when u wanna copy a movie dvd. and all the original disks are copyrighted. u need a good software to copy them to u'r computer (like DVD Fab). then using nero u can make u'r own dvd. there's another software by which u can copy copyrighted dvd's to u'r computer in a good quality even with subtitles, it's xilisoft dvd to mp4 converter. but make sure to change the copy mode to *xvid.
Good Luck anyways...

Doesn't your burner have its own software? Look for the Help button. I have two burners. Both came with printed User's Guides. One is powered by Nero, the other by DLA.

You have the best program already and it's actually really simple. All you have to do is click the backup button but if you don't want all the menus and crap, just click on re-author and then double click on Title1 and then click backup. That will only back/copy the actual movie.

The new Nero program works really good. It has plenty of cool options you'd probably never even use. You can probably download a full version off of a torrent site, with some type of crack.
