The agp port is a slot on the motherboard. Data is fed to the videocard through this port. The speed is the raw speed that the data is allowed to travel through this port.

This is not clock speed.

It is the advanced graphic port . 3d graphic accelerator cards are plugged in to this port instead of using plane Jane video card. Of course faster the better. You need a good graphic card to play the "good games" how ever I believe that there are some very good PCI graphic cards that do not need the AGP port.

That's the clock speed. The higher the number the better the speed.
