I was sold on apparently "new" computer an illegal version Windows XP. It worked okay for eight months and then kept telling me it wasn't a validated version. It stopped me from downloading things and in the end I had to part with hard cash to get it corrected. Don't muck around go and buy a legal version. Save yourself heaps of grief.

microsoft is getting smarter...if your automatic updates for XP are on,then after few successfull updates and installation, your XP will stop working and microsoft will ask u to get a original copy of XP.
so better be carefull.
there is a way out, switch off the automatic updates!!!

there's no such thing as "fake" its either a legit copy or a pirated version.

go to your nearest computer store, buy a legit version and use that to install on your computer.
