Ok this is what comes up on the top border of my screen!

"Warning: possible spyware or adware infection! Click here to scan your computer for spyware and adware..."

I can't exit it out. If I click it it takes me to another screen. I had the search and destroy thing on it. Then i had superantispyware then I tried the adware. None of those wrok to keep the pop-ups away! I already have mcaffee on this but it's useless. what do i do?

I'm trying to unblock Windows Live Messenger on my Windows XP Home Edition. I can access my firewall, however the two buttons 'configure' and 'disable' are nowhere to be found when I open my firewall. Do I have to be logged in to the master Rogers-Yahoo email account to see those buttons? I'm logged in on the admin account for the actual computer.

Hey guys, i keep gettin these two IEXPLORER pop-up from internet explore, which i dont even use, i use Firefox, but anywho.. i can turn both of in task manager, but itll be off for a while but then itll come up again, the pop-up doesnt actually pop up, it just shows up on my task manager and slows the computer down by a lot.. and ive scanned for spyware, virus, now im stumped, iono where to go to get rid of these two pop-up, ican shut it down when he comes up, but when im in a middle of a game, its kinda a hassle.

How can I remove a virus named "Worm.Win32.NetSky?" I've never had a virus, but I am getting warnings every couple of minutes telling me I may be infected. Also, my computer is crawling. my computer has been acting really scetchy the past few months and i do virus/spyware checks every day. i don't know what the problem is, but i want to "start over". is there a way i can save my pictures, songs, and documents but essentially start over with the computer, as in- can i get it back to how it was when i bought it?

I had messenger skinner.
I though it was good but it gave my cmputer a trojan horse.
I deleted it but it said you need 2 reboot it.
What is a reboot?

and it says something to the effect that you are assigned to a DHCP? My physical address is a mac adress, and my ip address is under a dhcp server? Is that the way that the network connection status is supposed to be set on a xp computer? What the heck is a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, why does it exsist?

Hi!
I have Norton Antivirus (not Norton Internet Security) and because of the firewall I can't use some programs that need access to the internet. The problem is that in the Norton website the instructions they give to turn off the firewall are for Internet Security instead of the Antivirus. Does anyone know how I can turn the firewall off?

I just downloaded Norton Security 2008 version
and it downloaded, but when I come up on the
computer I noticed that Norton says that I do not
have anti.virus protection. Since I am on the
computer very little and my bank has there own
protection, do I need anti virus protection as
I am protected in other areas by Norton Security,
and if I do need it is there a web site where I can
download anti virus protection at no additional

I recently did a backup of the files on my website only to find out from an antivirus program that the files were corrupted with a trojan horse (called BackDoor-AWQ). How do i find out where it is on the site and remove it?

NOTE:
<1>My host doesn't provide antivirus scanning for their clients
<2>The files are in a zipped format and have been quarantined on my computer

I'm planning to buy Kaspersky's anti-virus software that has spyware included. Wasn't sure if their spyware was going to be that good because it seems like more of an add on. I was thinking of getting Spy Doctor for my anti spyware ap. What do you think? Should I get another anti spyware ap and is it ok if I use both at the same time (Kaspersky and Spy Doctor)?
