Nonsense^.

ZoneAlarm uses Kaspersky Anti-virus as it's anti-virus component of it's security suite:

I would rate KAV one of the top 2 or 3 anti-virus apps in the world.

I have been a beta tester for just about every antivirus/antispyware in the market.

Can tell you that "suite", type software is the very last thing you need.

One antivirus, or three or four antispyware programs seperate have a hard enough time keeping up with viruses that come out every minute of they day. Not to mention spyware.

I believe in a seperate firewall, antivirus. (You can only run one antivirus or you will have serious conflict with your system). And three or four antispyware as one will always find what the others miss.

If you want free: Zone Alarm free for home personal use. http://www.zonealarm.com

Antispyware free.
Superantispyware free version http://www.superantispyware.com

A2Squard Free Austria. http://www.emsisoft.com

Or if you wish to pay a one time fee, I use what the Govt. Of China uses for antivirus. You will get daily updates X 3 and all new version for life. One time fee of $29.99 Never had one virus in ten plus years. http://www.filseclab.com You can test for thirty days with a key they will send you. Then you must purchase.

ZoneAlarm is suppose to be the best.. As they have decribe here: http://personal-firewall-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

I in the past I use to use ZoneAlarm but they get to fat on features and they hog-up your memory and resources. Now that checkpoint is running things it could be better. Checkpoint is famous for firewall hardware devices used in companies domans.

Antivirus
Now I use NOD32 to me it's the best one I've used so far. If it detects a trojan or virus it won't let me do anything until I tell the software what it should do with nasty worm.

You can see what the other antivirus programs rate..

I say you use your ZoneAlarm for Firewall Protection, You get another standalone program for AntiVirus and you get another program for Spyware like PC Tools Spyware Doctor.

Spyware, Malware, Adware, Trojans
Reviewed here: Use Spyware Doctor uses less memory

Those all-in-one software you have to be careful with them as not all of their integrated parts work in harmony all the time.

Check out this site if you what to see what others say about these software:

zone alarm antivirus is horrific...
i have a collection of infectious files i use to test and compare different antiviruses, there is a total of 30 infectious files in there of different types. Zone alarm did not catch even 50% of them, not to mention, going to known infectious sites zonealarm was unable to catch the uploading trojans/spyware.
