If you have a virus will you be able to tell within a week? I'm afraid my computer might have a virus because sometimes it has error reports, but it has it more frequently then some other computers I've been on.

Please do not be angry with my stupidity :(

I have a bt home hub,My computer is connected to it by an ethernet lead,my sons computer is configured to use it wireless,Does the norton security that is installed on my computer cover his computer or do I have to download on to his computer aswell.Also if he gets any viruses on his does it infect my computer too?

I have an old laptop from work and I cannot find the temp internet files to delete them.

I've tried right clicking on the start bar and choosing explore and going that route but they're not there. When I try to delete them via IE it doesn't ever go through...

i changed the password for the admin,and haven't used the computer in so long. when i wanted to loggin i forgot the password.

This guy, signing in as MichaelWolfe18, has been IMing me but it is so obvious that he is trying to run a scam: he says he's in Africa and needs help getting back home, could I cash some money orders for him or even usps fast cash money, or some crap like that - it's actually funny (unless he's hacking my puter). Anyway, how can I report his name to Yahoo as a potential scammer to warn others of this name (even though he can just dump this name and get another, but at least I will have made some type of inconvenience for him)? Anyone? Thanks.

I was checking out A/V programs to see which suits me the best and I came across this one. I went to the main website and noticed that you have to pay in order to use it. Either every 1 month or 2 months. Anyone that uses it I was wondering what happens if you don't pay it. Would the program still work and detect the viruses? What is the payment for?

I answered a guy from Craigslist when i posted an ad looking for a cheap place to rent who said that he's give me his place in return for looking after it and "doing some business" for him, especially running checks he'd receive through my bank account. I said I didn't like the idea, but did send him my full name and address via email, and then was told by a friend that it is in fact a scam.

I didn't furnish any bank info of birthday or Soc. Sec number, but it occurs to me that the guy's trick is yto go to the post-office and file a change of address in my name and receive my mail, including credit-card bills, checks and so on.

This happened yesterday: what to do now?

I desperately need to use system restore on my computer, but every time I attempt it, it says that "System Restore cannot be completed". When I click "Help", it says that the problem may be due to the fact that I got Anti-Virus/Spyware and Firewalls installed on my computer (which I'm aware that I do). How can I use System Restore while being able to keep my "protection" running and functioning? Please give me answers in as simplified form as possible.
