i forgot my admin password(vista)?

Question

i changed the password for the admin,and haven't used the computer in so long. when i wanted to loggin i forgot the password.
is there any way i can find out what my password is.
or any way i can make a new user account. please help.

You may still be able to get in if you didn't change the "real" Administrator password. The default account you create, while it is an administrator account, isn't "the Administrator account." If you restart in Safe Mode, you should see a second account called "Administrator" that is not password protected. From there, you can remove/change the other administrator password.

To get into Safe Mode, you can use one of two methods:
- Restart the computer and tap F8 repeatedly durring the boot process until you get a screen to select Safe Mode.
- Type the windows key+r or go to the Run command on the Start menu. In the Run box, type msconfig and hit enter. In the System Configuration window that opens, click on the Boot tab. Check "Safe Boot" and click Apply/OK. Restart and you will be automatically taken to Safe Mode.

well if you have one account only on the pc your stuck contact microsoft they should have a solution the phone number should be on the side of your pc or the company you bought the pc from should be there . or i wonder if you can boot in safe mode then you can change the password again hope this helps
