I get a bar across the screen that says you may have spyware or adware on your computer. I also have a toolbar that appeared. I get some strange advertisements on websites too. Is this a virus? How do I get rid of it?

allsorts of antispyware downloads,but nothing seems to eliminate them,have a feeling it's something to do ith the registry,but don't know enough about it,as soon as I start internet browsers I'm constantly deleting these adverts,any ideas?

I need some tech help. I have a pop-up that keeps coming up and shuts down my internet connection as well as overrides my virus protection. The text box displays this message "The instructions at "0x7c901010" referenced memory at "0x0148bc7C". The memory could not be "read". Click ok to terminate the program?" I have deleted some of the related files for this virus but it comes back. Does anyone know of a way to erase the entire virus????

I have a project to secure a PC, to the point where if you dont have the key. The computer is useless, and where you couldnt run a key gen or brute force gen as it would erase everything.

is there a linux distro that encrypts the entire partition with its own format? or something like that for XP? I want really really good encryption if you cannot tell. This computer wont have anything else on it but the data i need to protect.

It tells me "protection: partially running"
Signatures are corrupted.
Some protection components have malfunctioned.

it tries to do this:
File download started bases/ids/i386/idsbase.kdz
but comes back with this:
Network operation timeout expired http://dnl-eu5.kaspersky-labs.com/bases/ids/i386/idsbase.kdz
What should I do?

I ran a scan on my computer and the is said that it found a virus and it continue to run a scan. But I wasnt clear if that meant that the found it and destroyed it or that they found it and told me and now I have to do something about it.

The "details" list always shows one less cookie than the "total" pane says was found. I always choose to "fix" and "finish". Then I immediately run another scan which comes out fine. I am running Vista on a late model Toshiba Satellite. Is this normal behavior? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Someone is using inexistent email address of my company to send spams. And I know that because I receive all "email failure notice, spam warnings, etc" in my admin email. How can I stop that? They came up with many different emails always like "something@mycompany.com". What should I do? Yahoo does nothing (of course)... Please help me!!! Thanks

at around 4 o'clock today all of a sudden the pop up blocker stopped working, and everything has been going downhill from there. I have a Microsoft System overide on my computer, spyware called, interactive brand, hitbox, searching oot and reliable stat plus a bunch more crap on my computer. How do I get it off? I swept it with spy sweeper, but some of it won't go away
