AVG Security I was given the program, free as a beta tester. (I test all antivirus/antispyware programs in my spare time). Free or not free, I removed the program from my system, as it is not good at finding trojans, or getting rid of them.
Would suggest that you go to Trend Micro Housecalls at this link and let their server perform a complete scan of your system. Please allow the server to complete the scan.. May take upto one hour, depending on how many filles/folders, plus memory an registry. For sure will kill all viruses and spyware found.

No conflict with AVG.
Here is what I use and used by the Govt Of China. You only pay a one time fee for life of $29.99 and you get daily updates and all new versions for life. Used ten years and never had one virus or spyware.

The best internet security is Zone Alarm, and try and run Privacy Guardian that should take care of your firewall and also it should weed out any bugs on your computer.
You don't need Privacy Guardian, i just find it better to have 2 things, just in case.

Get rid of that and download a free copy of Spyware Terminator, run the complete scan, including the virus scan.
That will eliminate your problem!
