Hi all,
i would like to know from all of you out there,, that i format my PC every month or 2months or so... due to some malacious threats and viruses i found on my computer and also i found my Pc to go slow from the usual first time after formatinng.. Does it cause any effect on my computer's hard-disk.. Plz all computer Wizz out there...helpp me out with this.. If posible tell me all lemitations nd advantages of doing it so..

My computer is infected with Win32:Small-EJL [Trj] Trojan Horse. AVAST, my anti-virus, keeps finding it and asking if I wanted to delete it. As soon as I hit the delete button, another warning pops up. Its endless and very rapid! I can't get anything done unless I turn off Avast! I turned the internet off and scaned the computer, and it was okay which makes me wonder if this is a virus or an AVAST problem. If its a virus, and it just keeps coming back the instant I delete it, is there something else I can do? Or, if its AVAST, how do I shut off the constant warnings?

I would be glad to receive your answer in detail, every steps and commands involved. I want to stop students from accessing to some websites. The network consists of Windows 2000 Server, Linux Firewall, and 50 Windows XP PCs. I know how to block web site using windows 2000 or XP but doing this in every pc is quite time consuming and I'm in search of new solution.

I need to free up some space on my computer. How do I know what to delete or remove and how do i know what I need to keep?? Over the past couple of years it seems to have slowed down-I know it has a bunch of junk in it. Is ther any wat to completely get rid of programs and other stuff? Someone told me that what goes in stays in. I am running WIN XP Pro on a compaq presario desktop. Any suggestions ??

We moved a computer into our house and wanted to change virus protection.
It was working fine. instructions said to uninstall all other virus protection.
Now it is just as if the blue wire connection was not plugged in. We have tried resetting DI-604 router, restarting computer, etc. Don't know what else to try.

I keep getting these emails from people offering strange stocks for sale and also emails from Chinese people selling drugs. Is there anything I can do to stop this? I tried sending them back, but they were undeliverable. Does anyone know how to do this?

imtools has deleted my homepage and inserted itself in there, i've tried the add and remove, but it wont remove it... and this RADIANTIX keeps popping up, even tho i have used a pop up blocker to block it...How do i rid my comp of these pesky blighters permanantly???...help. My Symantec Anti-virus keeps saying that I have a "Threat found" in many places and its type is (W32.Rontokbro@mm) It also said that it couldn't clean nor quarantine the infected file, only delete it. But the dialog box keeps popping up. I ran a scan and it showed nothing. What's going on there?
